The Clinic

Rosanna Osteopathic Clinic was established in 1996 by Nadia Macri and in 2006, became The Osteo Group (TOG).

The clinic has been an important part of the community, treating people of all ages and from all walks of life. We are extremely proud and grateful to have been entrusted by so many people over the years.

Our focus is on excellent health care, communication, professionalism, privacy, honesty and empathy.
The osteopaths at TOG have over 70 years experience between them and are dedicated and committed to ongoing learning. We have an extensive network of other health care professionals that we refer to when necessary.

We are committed to best practice, and we liaise with other health care practitioners so patients receive the highest level of care.

WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

Osteopathy was founded by an American physician, Dr Andrew Taylor Still in 1874.
He identified the relationship between structure and function in the human body

“The best osteopath is the best engineer; the best engineer is the best osteopath.”
– Dr A.T Still

Osteopathy is a system of health care, focusing on the neuro-musculoskeletal system – the bones, muscles, nerves and other tissues that support your body and control its movements.
Osteopathy combines hands-on treatment, such as massage, stretching, mobilisation and manipulation, as well as exercise prescription and lifestyle advice.
In Australia, osteopaths are government registered (AHPRA) allied health care practitioners. They complete a minimum of 5 years of university training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general musculoskeletal medical diagnosis and osteopathic techniques.
Osteopaths are primary health care practitioners, so no referral is needed. They are trained to recognise conditions that require further investigations and/or those that need to be referred on.
